General Currencies From the currencies and money page http://markets.ft.com/news/markets/currencies select 'currencies home' to view charts and data for the performance of key currencies against one another. Alternatively, select 'world currencies' to compare any of over 150 currencies against the USD, the GBP, the Yen or the Euro. Select the first letter of the name of the country for which you wish to view a currency to go directly to that part of the currencies list. Currency Converter Select the link to 'currency converter' under data links on the currencies and money page http://markets.ft.com/news/markets/currencies. To convert from one currency to another select your original currency from the "currency to convert from" pull-down menu. Insert number of units, then select from the "currency to convert to" pull-down menu. Click "Display Results". Managed funds Use the symbol lookup in the right-hand column of the home page, enter either the full name or part-name of a fund and click go. You will either be taken directly to the tear sheet for the fund or you will be required to select the correct fund from the search results page by clicking the fund name. If the fund name does not appear, you will need to refine your search and try again. To refine your search, type the name of the fund you are looking for and then check the 'fund' box. Select the type of fund you are looking for from the drop-down box. Press go and you will be taken directly to the tear sheet for the fund or you will be required to select the correct fund from the search results page by clicking the fund name. Fund details are updated intra-day. A fund tear sheet includes last price, latest offer, change in last price and percentage change in last price (over closing price for previous day). A chart depicting price changes over the past month is displayed and this is manipulable to reflect different timeframes using the drop down beneath the chart. Alternatively, click on the link to 'interactive charting' for other views of the chart, including comparisons with other funds and various statistical views of the chart. It is also possible to add a fund to your portfolio using the 'add to portfolio' button. Many of the fund tearsheets are complemented by links to related news as available in the Total Search archive and by analyst reports available from Merrill Lynch HSBC and Multex Investor.
